2011 Wedding Season Review • Thinking outside the booth since 2007 • Photo Booth Rentals

Every year about this time, as the crazy summer season winds down, we take some time and reflect on the shows we’ve done and the changes we’ve made throughout the year and throughout the years.

In 2007, we were one of the very first photo booth companies in the country “thinking outside the booth” and offering photo booth entertainment services that were out in the open for everyone to see.  We wanted to offer a “show”, where we were just the facilitators.

Traditional photo booth companies insisted people would only take photos behind a curtain. Just like the pesky paparazzi, we took the privacy the old school booth’s afforded, and threw it to the wind.

Through the personalities of our hand selected staff,  we’ve found great success in increasing event interaction by integrating people into the environment of their event. This makes memories more vivid and relevant whether the event be a bat mitzvah, wedding, or corporate party. By branding prints with custom artwork or facilitating real time guest generated content via projections or instant upload to social media, in 2011 we’ve found  a place in the forefront of a new type of entertainment. It’s photo entertainment, and it’s definitely out of the box! and out of the booth!!

What we found was people LOVE to be in front of the camera. They love it, love it, love it. Husbands love to show their wives they love them, young girls love to jump in the air because they can, people, all people have a capacity for fun and laughter. People love to play….Cowboys & Indians, Italian mafia wars, Charlie’s Angels, 007, to strut their stuff on the catwalk.

It’s simple, it’s amazing, it’s life looking back at us.

The Fusion of Two Cultures

On Saturday September 3rd, 2011, Paparazzi Tonight Photo Booth had the privilege of celebrating not only the joining of husband and wife, but the fusion of two incredible cultures! Billie and Mo were married at the Nines Hotel in a collaborated Hawaiian/ Persian ceremony. The ballroom was adorned with silver & orange décor illuminated by candles and mood lighting.

After the ceremony, guests enjoyed cocktails & hors d’oeuvres and tested the waters on Paparazzi Tonight’s red carpet! Although the first few shots were mild and contained, it wasn’t long before all of Billie & Mo’s friends and family members let down their hair and initiated the fun! Four generations graced our photo booth and we couldn’t have been happier to capture the joining of these two incredible families!

Dinner commenced, and the cultural dancing began. Belly dancers and fan dancers graced the dance floor to honor the groom’s Persian background, while the bride’s niece performed a traditional choreographed Hawaiian dance. After these amazing routines, guests were able to cut a rug and dance the night away.

The bride requested colorful props to match her silver and orange décor. She also wanted her Hawaiian culture represented with Hawaiian leis, straw hats, Bird of Paradise flowers, and OUR favorite… vintage Hawaiian license plates! The bride was so excited to see them that she pointed them out, and told her sister “remember when we had that license plate on our car!” To say the least, she was pleasantly surprised.

The night was filled with laughter, cheering, and most of all love! Paparazzi Tonight Photo booth captured all these moments, and presented the bride and groom with a scrapbook of all their pictures at the end of the night. These two families were a joy to work with and we are so happy for Billie and Mo. Congratulations you two!

Columbia Sportswear City Collection ~ Photo Booth Paparazzi Style ~ Rent a portland photo booth

Check out the backdrop of our recent photo shoot for Columbia Sportswear!  Can you say AWESOME!!

Portland’s Fashion Night Out this last September 8 was a great success. Columbia Sportswear launched their NEW City Collection Line at their Flagship store in Downtown Portland and Paparazzi Tonight played and integral part in it. We customized the backdrop to look like an issue of Portland Monthly Magazine. Each person/ group of people, looked as though they were on the cover of the magazine, introducing Columbia Sportswear’s new line. The overlay that was used that evening was also unique to the event. Columbia Sportswear’s logo was added to the overlay, as well as the date of the event. The overlay and backdrop were great mediums to display the brand name and emphasize who Columbia Sportswear’s target market is; Portlanders!

These hip and trendy pieces were a huge hit among the 300+ people who attended the launch party. Guests were able to try on jackets galore from the City Collection, modeling each piece in front of Paparazzi Tonight Photo Booth’s camera on the red carpet. Columbia Sportswear has been motivated by their customers for over 70 years, creating outdoor apparel for those who have a passion for the outdoors. Each pair of pants, jackets, boots, etc. go through a series of tests to fit the needs of all those who love being in nature and doing activities outside!

So long Garden Vineyards • A sad season for brides • Photo boothing in Portland

Garden Vineyards has always been our favorite outdoor winery venue. The setting is breathtakingly serene and beautiful. The house and grounds make one feel like they are in Tuscany looking out on the valleys below. Stuart and Melinda, owners and proprietors have always been so approachable and easy to work with. We’ve always felt at home there. The coyote chorus heard every night as we pack up our equipment and start the drive down the hill is mystical.

Garden Vineyards will not be hosting weddings after this season at their winery estate. They will continue to host corporate events though. From what I understand, a state law has been put into effect limiting the number of events a winery can have each year. This is a loss for Portland brides and the wedding industry in general. There are so many great venues in our world famous pinot noir region. We will miss you Garden Vineyards!!

Pretty in Pink

Myle and Michael celebrated their wedding day with family and friends at the Embassy Suites Hotel. Paparazzi Tonight Photo Booth decked out the red carpet open-air, photo op / photo booth area with pink, pink, PINK! Boas, hats, sunglasses, picture frames, boxing gloves, to and actual 1960′s pink rotary phone were touched with the prominent color of pink.

In Vietnamese weddings, it is tradition for guests to have their photographs taken with the bride and the groom upon entrance to the reception area. We positioned our photo booth so guests could easily trickle in and take their pictures with the bride and groom. These first photos captured great family portraits that were classy and formal. As the night progressed, guests were encouraged to let out their inner divas, rock-stars, & models while they played with fun props and helped create a memorable album for Myle & Michael to take home that evening. We had an amazing time printing 800+ awesome photo prints and we were pleased with the guests’ enthusiasm.

We’re pretty sure they all had a blast! To say the least, Myle & Michael’s guests were Tickled Pink!

Whe love weddings – so, when you’re thinking of a photobooth for your wedding, think of us!!
