Erik and I had such a wonderful time hanging with Tualatin High School students at their winter formal. They had such great energy and were there to enjoy themselves while at the same time wanting to make fantastic memories.

For the event, we brought a ton of props generally oriented around “winter” themes. We brought off the wall props too….and inherently, they were the most popular….such as an AVATAR Na’vi Dire horse as well as a dinosaur action creature featured in the first four-up below. For the blog, we’ve shown the photos as they print out.

One remarkable advantage to using us as photo entertainment at an event is our zoom capabilities. We are able to zoom in tight for couples wanting a close up, zoom down for children, as well as zoom out for large groups. The photographer at the event works with everyone on each shot to get the final result each group wants. We still shoot 4 shots 4 seconds apart so we keep the traditional photo booth adrenaline run that we all love so much.

As always, all photos are available for download next day. For this event, per request, we placed a password on the gallery so only those “in the know” can see the photos.

We set up our Paparazzi Tonight Photo Booth for the Persimmon Country Club preferred vendor Open House on October 18. This year, there was no ice storm…yeah! We had a great time meeting brides and grooms for our 2010 season.

We often find it difficult to explain to potential customers over the phone exactly what kind of event photographers we are. So, that’s why we like to do trade shows or open houses. Everyone can see what our photo booth experience is first hand and see why we rock! We are very different from a traditional old fashioned photo booth.

There is a new entertainment & event photography trend starting for renting a photobooth and we are on the forefront of it. It’s called paparazzi-style photo booth photography. Perfect, since our name IS Paparazzi Tonight!

One of the biggest new trends in weddings today is actually a touch old-fashioned: renting a photo booth that pops out instant pictures of your guests at their silly, celebratory best. …It’s campy and creative all in one.

Some couples,…, might want to consider a different kind of specialty photo op…increasing in popularity is the paparazzi-style photo “booth,” which involves an actual photographer shooting your guests in front of a designated backdrop….

The benefit of the studio-style booth is that it allows for more variation when it comes to the type of camera, backdrop, lighting, angles, number of people in the picture, props and more. For example, if you don’t want basic white, you can adjust the color of your backdrop to match your wedding colors, make it a romantic landscape or even use a funny blown-up picture of yourselves that everyone can pose with. Props can be fun as well, provided they make sense in context of your particular event – try to avoid just using random objects, as this might confuse your guests, says Harley.

The cost of a studio-style booth can range from $800 to $2,000, depending on the type you want, the time involved and the amount of product produced. As for location, most photographers will need an approximately 15-by-15 foot space for the backdrop, lighting and camera. You also want to make sure you set it up in a place that people can see so that they will be sure to take advantage of it, or have your wedding planner announce it.

As a result of including the booth, you are more likely to get at least one picture of every guest at your wedding, and chances are that these pictures will be some of the best ones of the night. “Sometimes people feel awkward when having their normal conversation or dancing filmed, or when they have to pose in the same boring ways,” says Harley. But when they’re in the booth, guests tend to be more comfortable hamming it up, or even being more loving, with lots of big hugs and kisses.

While you certainly want to prioritize having a photographer to document all the wedding’s events, a paparazzi-style booth makes for a nice addition during the reception.

We first met Mary and Lonny as well as their families in the spring at Oregon Golf Club and they were such a great energy filled family and were so much fun. We really hoped they would include us in their wedding festivities and we were thrilled when they did.

Bryan is in the wine business so we used champagne glasses and a bottle as the main props. We met quite a few relatives from North Carolina and South Carolina. Everyone had a great time and as usual the photo booth was packed most of the night.

Erik and I had the pleasure of shooting the photo entertainment pictures for Megan & Andrew at their sun filled wedding yesterday on the foot hills of Mt Hood at the Resort at the Mountain. As everyone arrived at the outdoor reception area, DJ Dan Dubay announced that the Paparazzi Tonight photo booth was open and that we were a wedding favor for everyone to enjoy throughout the night as well as Megan & Andrew’s guest book. We photographed soooo many family groups! If 12 people were in the shot, we printed out 13. Everyone in the shot got a print and they LOVED the instant gratification. It was great. One of the bridesmaids was so excited each time she’d take her 4 shots. She’d stand in front of one of the printers and excitedly say, “I just get soooo excited waiting for the prints to come out!” It is such a joy for us to see we’re making people happy.

We let everyone know that Megan and Andrew wanted them to remember their special day and the photographs were a wedding favor to all their friends and family. They are hosting all of the online downloads as well. Guests can download the original size (10 mega pixel) photo files and either print them or save the digital files to put on Facebook, etc. It is very important for picture clarity to get the original size. We also host the online gallery for 12 months so everyone can go back and relive the day. People said these are the greatest favors ever. We put the extra photo into Andrew and Megan’s photo guest book and everyone penned their best wishes to them. It really started the reception out with a punch.

Many people had traveled from California and Hawaii and were taking pictures with relatives they hadn’t seen in years. We took 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th sets of pictures for everyone and after 6 hours of shooting, we printed over 600 4up copies and took over 700 photos! Talk about instant gratification, on their way out, amidst a sea of sparklers, we handed Megan their gigantic leather bound guest book.

We had such a lovely time and are so thankful we met everyone. We hope to be taking Paparazzi Tonight to California and maybe Hawaii for upcoming weddings…..yeah!
