It was an all-star event last week at the Caddies 4 Cure “A Night to Chip In” charity event. Caddies 4 Cure works with local NW charities to increase the awareness, participation and support of causes that meet the needs of families and children in the Northwest. We were brought in for a special celebrity photo spotlight where donors could take photos with their favorite sports personalities and take away great photo prints.

We branded the prints with the Caddies 4 Cure logo so the message will travel with the photos. We also printed enlargements immediately that were appropriate for framing. Everyone had a fantastic time and a great deal of money and support was raised.

Paparazzi Tonight….The Photo Booth without the Booth, where EVERY Guest is the STAR!

New Year’s Eve 2009 found Paparazzi Tonight at The Nines Hotel, one of the city’s most fashionable addresses. The Portland, Ore. hotel never skimps on style and welcomed 2010 with an Alice in Wonderland “Through the Looking Glass” theme. West Coast Event Productions decorated the entire sixth floor into a Wonderland bash that would put the Mad Hatter’s tea party to shame. We were all treated to grand-scale entertainment from local marching band MarchFourth. There were over 30 members in attendance, from stilt-walkers to saxophone and trombone musicians playing brass band swing numbers.

We made custom props for the night to help revelers get into the Looking Glass mood. The red queen’s sceptre was fantastic. We also had Alice’s “Drink Me” bottle, the red queen’s crown, my rendition of her heart shaped lips, Mad Hatter hats, Johnny Depp bows along with tea cups and pots as well as vintage picture frames.

Here are more of our set-up shots from the night. We were definitely channeling Johnny Depp that night. West Coast Events loaned us the giant queen chair…it was fantastic!

Here are the 4-ups as the they were printed with the harlequin overlay and event branding for the evening. These photos were great branding take-aways for the event. We can customize any overlay as well as add transparencies over the photos.

Do you notice the heart in the sky right before the ceremony? Good omen I’d say.

Well, summer wedding season is winding down and that means it’s time to start meeting the 2010 brides to be! This was our first year with the Rose City Bridal show and it turned out to be very successful.

We actually like doing demonstration shows (crazy, I know). If you have never seen Paparazzi Tonight live, you may still not have the full flavor of what we offer. We started this because we had EXACTLY the same wedding puzzles to solve as every other bride and groom to be. What will we do for Wedding Favors? How will we manage the guest album? We want professional photos of all of the guests, but do we just hand out a disposable cameras and hope for the best? Most of all, how do we give the guests a fun time and make our wedding different? Sound familiar?? We love showing brides to be how they can solve ALL of these problems in one stroke. Once it registers, it’s like a huge weight is lifted off of their shoulders.

Impromptu... Udder Madness

Wow, Shelley & Dhia… Hat’s off! These guys know how to throw a “backyard party”.

We met Shelley at the wedding we did for Cheryl Pietz. She says she knew instantly it would be perfect for their annual “Hoedown” they throw for the co-workers of Tanner Assisted Living Center. This party was no holds barred. The band Fat Bottomed Girls wailed it out for more than a three hour set, while the guests tried their hand at taming a giant mechanical bull! That just HAD to hurt the next day.

Another One Bites The Dust... OUCH!

What a perfect day for Catherine and Quoc. It started early with a morning ceremony in downtown Portland. The reception was later in the day at the beautiful Oregon Golf Club. The weather was perfect and the photographers, Gabriel Boone Photography, had great light and beautiful guests to work with. Lynne with Media Jockeys was excellent as well.

We didn’t open our prop chests until after dinner. As you can see from the sample of shots that the pictures turn out great either way.

We heard lots of talk of different sports teams through out the evening, especially, the Green Bay Packers. Lindsay’s garter was good old green and gold with Packers around the satin and lace! We took photos until the very end of night. Here are some of our favorites.

And now the wonderful craziness….

We had the photo booth set up under our tent right next to the ceremony/dance floor. As guests arrived we greeted them and they took their first shots and started the guest book. Erik took some candid shots while I manned the photobooth. Take a look:

After guests take their photo booth shots and as their copies are printing, they sign their guest book page. We use archival paper and silver pens. The bride and groom get the book at evening’s end.

Now for some of our favorite shots from the night! Lana and Ryan had us bring props for the wedding day. Props are great for helping people open up and have fun. About 50% of our brides use props, even at the very swankiest weddings. It’s your choice if you have them.

Also, most of these photos are shot after dark…..You’d never know that from the shots though.
