Garden Vineyards will not be hosting weddings after this season at their winery estate. They will continue to host corporate events though. From what I understand, a state law has been put into effect limiting the number of events a winery can have each year. This is a loss for Portland brides and the wedding industry in general.There are so many great venues in our world famous pinot noir region. We will miss you Garden Vineyards!!

Paparazzi Tonight Photo Booth Entertainment can create distinctive elements for events, making them different from any other!

On August 4th, we traveled north to the Emerald City… no, not the one with the powerful Wizard of OZ, but the other one…Seattle, Washington! Paparazzi Tonight Photo Booth created the excitement, buzz and mementos at “Cablepalooza”, an annual television industry event. The sun was shining, not a cloud in the sky, but the STARS were out!

We rolled out not one, but TWO photobooth red carpets for the 500+ Seattle clients & advertising agency executives who were there to check out next seasons’ cable television lineup. Six celebrities from MTV and BravoTV were on hand to pose and sign autographs on OUR red carpets. Guests could choose from our “BravoTV” station and our “MTV” station, where they could meet & greet with their favorite stars, as well as take awesome pictures with them on the red carpet. The atmosphere was fun and relaxed for everyone.

Yigit Pura and Fabio Viviani from BravoTV’s hit show “Top Chef” were paired with “Real Housewives of Orange County” stars, Peggy Tanous and Tamra Barney. As party-goers waited in line for their turn, everyone could tell the celebs were having a great time meeting their fans, signing autographs, and taking group photos.

At our MTV station, UFC Fighter Ryan Bader bantered with die-hard fans and took playful action shots! Wendie Malick, from TV Land’s “Hot in Cleveland” (also from “Just Shoot Me,” “Frasier,” etc.) was also at the “MTV” station, laughing, joking and posing with her fans from her past and present television work.

For this event, we collaborated with event coordinators, and created customized backdrops for this event. These HUGE backdrops played a key role in the event’s tone and overall atmosphere. Julie & Thanh – The Governor

Many times a bridal party is dressed, ready to go and anxious for the events to begin. We always arrive 2 hours before the first guests arrive so we can take what we call “early bird” pictures. For both the bridal party as well as guests, it helps to have something to do while you’re waiting. We take four photobooth – esque photos four seconds apart and print copies for as many people as are in each shot. It’s a great opportunity to get the guest book started too! This early shooting doesn’t count in the official four hour time block we shoot…It’s a little wedding gift from us.

QUINSTREET HOLIDAY PARTY

November, December and January are fantastic months for corporate holiday parties. We do many, many of them….If I counted correctly, 42! Quinstreet had their holiday party at Portland City Grill and they brought along our photobooth entertainment &  Justin Bieber!….he’s kind of a white elephant gift in the office showing up in unexpected places.

About New Year’s resolutions…Erik and I have never been too keen on them. We take the stance of Alfred Tennyson, “Ring out the old, ring in the new, Ring, happy bells, across the snow: The year is going, let him go; Ring out the false, ring in the true”.

Instead, this is a great time, these last few days of 2010, to take stock of all the goings on, all the parties & great moments we’ve been lucky enough to help create!  There are so many, many awesome people and places that make up the AMAZING memories we have of 2010. We were the photo booth photogs and event entertainment at over 152 parties, weddings, B’nei Mitzvahs, conventions and city wide events. It’s simply been incredible and we are so thankful.

This New Year’s Eve we are going to help bring in 2011 for two couples and their friends and families. Can you imagine getting married on New Year’s Eve? Talk about New Year’s resolutions! We booked up really early this year with these weddings. The night will start off much different from 12 months ago, but when the Times Square ball drops this year, we’ll still be capturing the moments that turn into memories!

2010 started off with a BANG! for Paparazzi Tonight. We were the photo booth event photographers at two Over-The-Top New Year’s Eve Parties at two top Portland venues. Over 2000 photos were taken during the evening capturing Portland’s New Year’s spirit. We printed almost as many prints as pictures taken as everyone in each photo gets a print!

The Nines rang in the new year with their tribute to Johnny Depp and the new Alice & Wonderland movie with an awesome party entitled “Down the Rabbit Hole”. The whole 6th floor had the most amazing decoration by West Coast Event Productions. Many of Portland’s coolest cats were in attendance including entertainment by the March 4th Marching Band. The food was top notch, as always. We printed 450 prints 4×6 prints and everyone in each shot got a print. We created custom props for the night that incorporated all the main characters of Alice’s Wonderland…the Mad Hatter, Alice, the Red Queen, the White Queen, and the rabbit….along with a big red chair! This was our kind of party

The Portland Hilton rang in 2010 with the 19th AnnualChampagne Ball. It was our third year as the photo event photographers in the main ballroom. It was photo madness as usual! We had two complete paparazzi-style photo booth stations and 3 high speed printers at each station to pump out the 1,300 prints from the night. New Year’s Eve props were on hand to help ring in the new year for the +/- 1800 revelers. We had a total of 6 photographers on hand to assist couples and groups with posing ideas. It was a crazy, fun night. Lot’s of great photos and over 32,000 picture views and photo downloads throughout the year on our online gallery from the event. Did we mention it was ridiculously crazy?

It was our 5th trade show this fall and we had a wonderful time with all our 2011 & a few 2012 brides.  We were demonstrating on site by having an example of our popular red carpet paparazzi-style photo booth available for complimentary photos. We printed instantly on site and showed our fantastic entertainment/wedding favor/guest book solution.

We’d like to give a shout out to Trisha and Alex, Kelsey and Tony, and Victoria and Tobin for booking with us! We look forward to making you weddings fantastic! We are looking forward to heading out to McCall, Idaho for Kelsey and Tony’s wedding. Beautiful country along the Salmon River.

We brought a custom prop kit for her….electric guitar, vintage “elvis” microphone, band set drum, African drums, cow bell, tambourines, acoustic guitar, kazoos, recorder, keyboard….and about 50 “whack” hats, glasses and accessories.

We took a break during the candle lighting ceremony and watched Sydney light each of the 13 candles. One person of influence and importance in Sydney’s life was acknowledged as each candle was lit. Her mother and father then gave very thoughtful and poignant message to Sydney.

Also adding to the fun was Steve Marker of Portland Pro DJs. He was very interactive with the kids and did a superb job.
